Abstract Subject and purpose of work: The present paper assesses the loan utilisation repayment behaviour loanee or indebted farmers in Haryana, India. Materials methods: study was conducted Haryana state. is based on primary data that have been collected through schedules from a sample 600 farmers. Proportionate sampling employed. Further, percentage used for analysis. Results: found about half amount utilised by nonproductive activities directly stimulate debt burden them, because this type expenditure did not contribute to earnings around two-fifth were regularly repaying their loans, one fifth defaulters remaining paying irregularly. Overall, Farmers’ satisfactory. Conclusions: non-productive usage main causes indebtedness. Reducing such challenges without generating other sources income.
